Upon your arrival, our guide will meet
you at Guilin airport or train station and transfer to your
hotel. Tour to the the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk
Hill. Enjoy a pleasant walk around the scenic Banyan Lake, Fir
Lake and the Southern Ancient Gate.
Flute Cave: The cave is 5 kilometers from the city center,
making it a ten minute drive (half an hour by bike) from downtown.
The cave was so called because there were some verdant reeds
which could be turned into flutes at its entrance. The cave
is a magic fairyland of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars
and stone curtains in fantastic shapes, all glistening in colorful
Trunk Hill: As one of the must-see attractions in Guilin,
the Elephant Trunk Hill was chosen its name because the shape
of the hill looks like a giant elephant dipping its trunk into
the river. Between the trunk and the legs of the elephant is
the "Moon-Over-Water Cave" in the shape of a full moon. On the
top of the hill there is a pagoda which was constructed in the
Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
Guilin - Longji

Drive 2.5 hours to Longsheng Longji.
Visit the Dragon-Back Terraced Fields and villages of Miao,
Yao People. Stay tonight in hotel in Longji.
Terraced Fields: Covering an area of 66 square kilometers,
they were first built in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and
completed in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) by ethnic Zhuang
People. The terraced fields are built into the hillsides along
the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop,
with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest
380m. The terraces look like great chains or ribbons as they
wind from the foot to the top of the hill.
||Longji - Jinkeng - Guilin
After breakfast, hike 3.5-4 hours from
Longji to Jinkeng, have lunch in a farmer's home in village
Zhonglu. Enjoy the beautiflu scenery along the way: high mountains
piercing into clouds, brooks, villages and minority people cut
off from civilizations, fresh air, gorgeous terraced fields....,
usually very few tourists are seen during the hiking. Return
to Guilin in the afternoon.
Terraced Fields: Jinkeng is a group of large-scaled rice
terraces, they occupies an area of 66 square kilometers, winding
from the foot to the top of the hill. Jinkeng Terraced Fields
are home to ethnic Yao People. There are two Yao villages here
in Jinkeng, they are Dazai Village and Tiantou Village. Jinkeng
Rice Terraces can be visited by cable cars, they have not yet
been known to many tourists, but they are as impressive as Longji
Dragon-back Rice Terraces.

at 08:10, then transfer to Zhujiang Pier which takes an hour.
Cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo
and enjoy the beauty of the fabulous scenery. Lunch is served
on boat. The river tour is more than 83 kilometers long and
takes 4 to 5 hours. Disembark your boat when arriving Yangshuo.
Have a stroll over the West Street - a 1400-year-old ancient
street with Chinese style buildings. There are some optional
Yangshuo tours available at your own expense: bamboo rafting
on Yulong River; tour to Silver Cave; watching cormorants catching
fishes; countryside tours by bike; visit village and a family
to get some ideas of the local farmers' lifestyle.
Transfer to airport and see you off.
